Checking for stickies can add just 10-15 minutes extra to the end of an appointment time but will make the WORLD of difference in keeping your client’s natural lashes healthy!
If stickies are not separated, natural lashes are at risk of being pulled out with neighbouring lashes which are growing out at different rates to them.
If left untreated, this can cause discomfort for the client, or worse, can cause long-term damage to the natural lashes, with some NEVER growing back!
I like to encourage housekeeping along the way, add one and check one. Although once your set is complete a thorough check from beginning to end.
The first way you can check for stickies is to go between the layers – make sure no lash isn’t stuck to any lash above or below it
Next, go through lash by lash and make sure no lash is stuck to its neighbouring lash!
Basically, looking at each individual extension low at the base and doing a 360degree check
It may seem that checking for stickies is time consuming, and you might even think there’s no way you’ll get them, but it is 100% worth the time!
You should pride yourself on quality, and checking for stickies ensures that.
